SizeMatter’s BHP Calliope (F5, 57.96%Nubian/42.04%Nigerian )
Born 2/9/2021, small stature. This little girl has been retained to continue to refine the line started by Lucky Charm, and keep an eye on Hocus’s bloodline. She is fine-boned and dairy like her dam, but long and wide like her sire. Her dam has freshened with a very tightly attached FF udder, long teats and large orifices. By the second freshening, her dam was an 8lb milker. Breed character could be improved, but we will work on that. She will be given plenty of time to mature before her 2022 breeding. Calliope competed in our 2021 Mile High Mini Milkers Show and placed 7th and 3rd out of 9 entries. She was praised for her width and general appearance.
Pattern/Markings: Bezoar, white on poll and throat, frosted ears and nose, random roan patches
Feedback From the 2022 TMGR Conformation Clinic:
Overall this doe has a really strong back end. She is long and level over the topline and level in the rump from hips to pins although she could be flatter from thurl to thurl. I appreciate the depth of body in the rear barrel but she could definitely be deeper at the chest. Her front end could be deeper in the chest, with more width and extension of brisket. She has strong legs with good rear leg angulation, although her front legs should be placed farther back under her withers.

Praise for Calliope at the TMGR 2021 Conformation Clinic:
Correct front shoulder assembly, straight in front legs with good depth of heel….She has some power in the brisket which we can see when viewed from the side. Top line is adequate, desirable length in the rump.
