***Our herd is disease-tested annually and G6S normal***
Please note that pricing has been set for BEST potential kids expected from the pairing. Pricing may be adjusted due to market needs or for the character of the goat. Milk stars and show wins command a higher price tag. An animal with breed character flaws (particularly higher generations) may be priced differently. Wethered boys and any animal with serious breed defects (like an extra teat) will be sold unpapered at pet pricing ($125).
Per our Sales Policy , Size Matters Microranch reserves the right to retain any animal born on our property after kidding before reservations are filled.
Size Matters Microranch is currently breeding for milk production, great udders, small size, beautiful conformation, and on-point breed character. Breeding for all these things is difficult (like genetic whack-a-mole). Color is not a priority, although we do expect some flashy kids. Some of our pairings have the potential to produce blue eyes, moonspots, and/or polled kids.
If we are planning to retain a doe kid from a pairing, there is a higher likelihood the dam will be for sale. Please contact us if you would like to make a reservation.
Breeding to occur ASAP. Juno will be on test after kidding and is expected to earn a star, meaning bucklings could inherit a *B. Juno placed first in her age group recently at our 2019 show! Kids will be F5, petite, could be moonspotted and should have nice breed character. One doeling retained. Doelings $450, bucklings $350. Juno will be available in milk after this kidding/weaning.
Breeding to occur ASAP. This is an exciting pairing for me because Fort is one of my personal favorites. Hocus and Fort are similarly low and wide; with solid, correct builds. Kids will be F5, petite and could be moonspotted. Hocus’s dam has a *P. One doeling retained. Doelings $400, bucklings $350.
Breeding to occur ASAP. Andi is a stunning junior doe with good width between the hocks and nice teat-size/placement. She has a level topline and long rump. Her breeding to Hocus should solidify these qualities in her kids. Kids will be F6, should be moonspotted and may be blue-eyed. They should be medium-sized. Andi will be on DHIA after kidding and Hocus’s dam has a *P. One doeling retained. Reservations available. Does $400, bucks $350.
Breeding to occur ASAP. Helen is beautiful junior doe with remarkable depth and dairy-ness. She has a level topline and great breed character. Her breeding to Hocus should add width and milkiness to the line. Kids will be F6, should be moonspotted and may be blue-eyed. They should be smaller-sized. Helen will be on test after kidding and Hocus’s dam has a *P. One doeling retained. Reservations available, Does $400, bucks $350.
Breeding to occur ASAP. Scotchie is my daughter’s goat and she has picked Atlas to sire her first-freshening. This is a great choice to help consolidate Scotchie’s dominant Green Gables’ traits. Scotchie and Atlas both have solid milking backgrounds and are small/medium-size with good breed character. Scotchie will be on test this year and should be strong producer. Kids will be F5, moonspots possible. Does $450, bucks $400.
Breeding to occur ASAP. Wicca will be on test this year and should earn a star as a FF if she’s anything like her maternal half-sister, Sugar. I expect Wicca to have a long and productive career here, so I am currently not planning to retain kids THIS year. These F5 kids will be up for grabs! They should be milky and splashy/spotted with show-winning conformation and soft udders! Doelings $450, bucklings $400
Breeding to occur Sept 2020. Terra’s 2020 buckling was stunning and her FF udder and production were very promising. She is well set-up to earn a star with her second freshening. Guyliner will help keep stature down and bring width to the pairing. Kids will be F7, and could be blue-eyed and/or polled. Splashy coloring is dominant in Guy’s line. One doeling retained. Does $450, bucks $400. Terra will be available in milk after weaning.
Breeding to occur early fall. I typically wouldn’t breed a SonFlower to a SonFlower (I like to mix up genetics), but I think that George is the right choice to improve breed character in Fiona’s kids and solidify milk production. George’s weak spot is his rump angle, but Fiona tends to have very level kids. Fiona has a milk star through TMGR and should earn one through MDGA next year. Barn records show George’s dam milks about a gallon a day. One doeling retained. These kids will be F6, should be small/medium, good breed character, great temperament and big milkers. Moonspots and roaning possible. One doeling retained. Bucks $350, Does $450.
Breeding to occur in the early fall. Gwen is a great all-around doe with an easy-to-milk udder and really nice production. She has fantastic breed character and is very flat-boned and dairy. Breeding to Guy should solidify the width in her line while keeping height down. Kids will be F5, should be splashy/spotted and could be polled and blue-eyed. If Gwen ever gives me a girl, I am keeping her! However, reservations are available. Does $500, bucks $400.
Breeding to occur mid-fall. Duchess’s twins have milk goiters this year and her production has more than doubled from last year, putting her on track for a milk star this fall. Guy will help maintain her good breed character and petite size. Both parents have extremely soft, dairy skin. Kids will be F6; may be moonspotted, polled and blue-eyed. I am considering retaining a doe from this pairing and selling Duchess in milk after weaning. Reservations available. Does $500, bucks $400.
Breeding to occur late fall. This pairing should solidify Pixie’s already great breed character while improving her lateral udder attachments and shallow heels. Pixie has very nice production as a first-freshener and is on track for her milk star either this year or next. Kids will be F5, and may be moonspotted and blue-eyed. One doeling retained. Reservations available. Does $450, bucks $350.
Breeding to occur late-fall/early winter. Rhea has a very nicely attached udder but very small teats. George should improve this area while also adding breed character and width to the kids. Rhea’s production may not earn her a star as a FF, but has been very impressive considering she is only 48lbs. I expect her to star with her second freshening. Kids will be F2, milky, shorter-height and correct. One doeling retained. Does $400, bucks $350.
