Born 3/11/18. Duke and his sister are our 2 new exciting additions this year. They bring with them the coveted Blackberry’s herd bloodlines from Green Eggers Farm in California. Duke is predominately black and tan with amber eyes and may have scarce moonspots (face and ears). He is long with excellent breed character. I expect him to be medium-sized and pass on his dam’s lovely udder. Thank you so much Noriko Proett for bringing Dolly to Colorado and selling these babies! Duke will be bred to several does for 2019 kids.
UPDATE: With the addition of Blue Oaks Black Magic (Duke’s granddam) and her daughter, along with retaining 2 of Magic’s kids this year, we’ve decided it’s time to move Duke along. He is going to a wonderful Colorado homestead to help with a new line. We have plans to retain 2-3 of his daughters this year.
***Duke placed 2nd of 11 in his class of Junior Bucks during the 2018 Fall V-show***
Praise for Duke in the 2018 Caprine Conformation Clinic:
A very deep bodied buckling and correct in the front end assembly. While he could be a bit longer in his neck, it blends smoothly into his withers, and he has a nice long topline and rump, with his rump being nicely level from hips to pins.
